Compensation Court

Decision was reserved by Judge A. P. Blair in the Compensation Court yesterday after a half-day case in which Thomas McSorley, a storeman (Mr C. M. Roper) claimed compensation from his former employer, the Carpet Manufacturing Company (N.Z.) Ltd. (Mr R. W. Edgley) for a permanent partial disability arising from an accident at his work, when he slipped and strained both shoulder joints. Mr Roper submitted that because of such disability, McSorley had had to leave remunerative employment, and undertake light labouring work, at which he was £ll a week worse off.
