Wairewa Rates The Same
A general rate of Is 11/16d in the £ was struck at the meeting of the ’Vairewa County Council yesterday in accordance with notice of motion given at the last meeting. The rate is the same as last year.
Estimates presented to the last meeting quoted proposed expenditure as £33,195 and estimated receipts as £17.505. The additional sum required was therefore £15,690, and the rateable capital value of the country was £2,231,525.
