INTER-CLUB BASKETBALL
Students In Opposition
The tenth round of the inter-club men’s basketball competition might prove a disastrous one for the present leader, University A.
It has been drawn to meet Its B team, which forced Y.M.C.A. to a 38-all draw last week. At the time Y.M.C.A. was level on points with University A. When the teams were scheduled to meet earlier in the season, during the University holidays, the A team was without most of its players and so the B team sportingly defaulted. But on Saturday no quarter will be given. For 40min the University club will be split right down the middle with W. Smith, the New Zealand Universities representative, leading the B team as playercoach and Mr A. Forrester controlling the fortunes of the A team from the bench.
In the other A grade games, Y.M.C.A. should beat Burnham, and High School Old Boys should not be greatly troubled to beat Rex.
