87 Lives Lost f.V.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) TALLAHASSEE (Florida), June 10. Hurricane Alma roared ashore on the Florida Panhandle yesterday, sending flood tides rushing through the streets. But the hurricane subsided to a tropical storm as it surged into Georgia. It has already claimed 73 lives in Honduras, 12 in Cuba, and two in Florida.
The storm today struck inland near Apalachicola and pushed north to near Tallahassee, the Florida State capital, its fury dying and doing apparently little damage.
