Cardigan Bay Injured
(N.Z.P.A. -Reuter—Copyright) PHILADELPHIA. Cardigan Bay, the champion New Zealand pacer, has suffered a leg Injury which will put him out of racing for at least two to three months. The injury was discovered yesterday during a workout. As a result, the 35,000-dol-lar match race between the 10-year-old pacer and Bret Hanover, an American horse, on Saturday has been cancelled.
The Injury comes at a time when Cardigan Bay needs only one good win to make him the biggest moneywinning pacer of all time.
