PACERS FOR U.S.

Leaving From Napier Today (N.Z. Press Association) NAPIER, Nine South Island pacers, worth more than £20,550, will leave for the United States from the Port of Napier today. The horses will be loaded into special boxes aboard the Cap Finisterre this morning. The horses Include Cloudy Bay, Seafield Prince. Lornaway, Eitherway, Falstaff, Michael Stanorma and Smoky. They will be accompanied on the 18-day voyage by Mr C. B. Holden, of Christchurch, who is acting as agent for one of the purchasers, Mr D. McNutt, of Toronto. Mr Holden said in Napier yesterday afternoon that feed for the horses was taken on while the ship was in Lyttelton recently. Providing good weather is experienced the horses will be exercised on deck.
