Sir, —Many thanks for the publication of Mr R. H. Locker’s article. 1 hope that serious and timely action will be taken to promote the ideas set out. The difficulty of getting to the coastline near Christchurch is already apparent. If the present trend continues unchecked, the sea beaches will become the sole rights of those financially able to purchase areas, and the increasing population will be encircled.
