OVERBRIDGE MAY GO

Road Closure Proposal

A stub-end of road running off Deans avenue to the main south railway line and a nearby track which connects with the pedestrian overbridge to the Addington railway station may be affected by road closure proposals of the Rlccarton Borough Council.

The council has called for objections 'to its proposal to close the road, which ceased to be effective in 1908, when the roadway on the south side of the railway line was closed.

The footbridge track is not connected with the road, but as the overbridge is in bad repair, and because few people use it other than as a short cut to Lincoln road, it may also be closed.
