Training Posts In Demand

(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, June 8. International recognition of work done in specialist units of the Auckland Hospital’s Board's institutions had created a demand for training posts, the superintendent-in-chief (Dr. W. E. Henley) told the board last night. “In the past New Zealand has leaned heavily on overseas countries for both undergraduate and post-graduate medical training,” he said. “It is a matter for satisfaction to recognise a reversal or flow arising from the increasing standards of medicine and surgery in New Zealand.”
