Market Gains Ground

The market on the Sydney Stock Exchange gained ground over the last week with the share price index gaining 3.37 to 319.06, according to the weekly market report. Total average turn-over of 908,310, including 377,200 mining was heavy. Broken Hill Pty. gained 24 cents during the last week to a last sale of 590 cents. The company is currently drilling in Bass Strait.
