Bunting Profit Rises 22.7 p.c.

Consolidated net tax-paid profit of Bunting and Company, Christchurch brushware and plastics manufacturers, rose by £16,156 —or 22.7 per cent—to a new peak of £87,534 in the year to February 28.

The profit was reached after providing £396 more for depreciation at £27,643 and £15,222 more for tax at £83,088. It represents 19.0 per cent on steady capital of £459,886, against 15.5 per cent last year, and 12.5 per cent on shareholders’ funds.

Land and buildings are in the books at £226,982 with a Government valuation of £279,425. Shareholders will be asked at the annual meeting on June 22 to approve an increase in nominal capital by £500,000 to £1,000,000.
