Could Walk Into Team
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON. The 1956 Olympic champion, N. R. Read, could win a place in the New Zealand Empire Games team when he competes in the English 20-mile walking championship on Saturday. He has sent details of his recent performances to the N.Z.A.A.A. and a recommendation to the Empire Games selectors is considered likely if he performs with distinction on Saturday.
