Record Fee.—The Chelsea Soccer Club has decided to sell its goal-keeper, P. Bonetti, for £60.000 —a world record for a goalkeeper. This is £lO.OOO more than Chelsea paid Millwall for a goal-keeper, A. Stepney, two weeks ago.
Hole In One.—E. Woods holed the 134-yard eighth hole with a No. 7 iron at the Waimakariri Gorge Golf Club’s mixed tournament last week-end.
