No Quorum
Five members of the Hornby Residents’ Association and two reporters waited for nearly an hour at the Orange Hall, Hornby, on Tuesday evening for eight members of the executive. They did not arrive, and the monthly meeting, due to have started at 8 p.m., was abandoned shortly before 9 p.m. Because the association’s constitution requires a minimum of seven executive members for a quorum, the two reporters could not be coopted. Tuesday evening’s business will be held over until the next monthly meeting. Until it was decided to abandon the meeting, those present sat around a fire and talked.
