Subscription Concert

The Christchurch Liederkranzchen will present its first subscription concert in the University Hall on Saturday at 8 p.m., under the baton of Mr Clifton Cook. Works to be performed will include “Serenade,” Op. 135, by Schubert ,a beautiful work set for alto solo and women’s voices. The soloist will be Ngaire Johnston. Other works will be “The Lord Is My Shepherd,” Schubert, “A Goodly Heritage,” by Jacobs, “Four Spring Idylls,” by Rowley and “Songs of England,” by Thiman. The guest artist will be Christopher Doig, baritone.
