Compensation Case Settled

After a half-day hearing, a settlement was reached in a Compensation Court case yesterday in which Edith May Ayles, a married woman, sought compensation from her employer, Scott Bros., Ltd., electric range manufacturers. Mrs Ayles, an assembly-line worker (Mr A. Hearn), sought before Judee A. P Blair comnenc-'tion for permanent disability, and a temporary total disability, arising from accidents at her work in February, 1964, or December, 1964, or both, when a trolley ran over her right foot. Scott Bros. (Mr C. B. Atkinson) first denied the second accident, or that either accident was the cause of the plaintiff’s condition. After the luncheon adjournament a settlement between the parties was announced.
