(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) KARACHI.
Pakistan is to export part of its large fish harvest to landlocked Afghanistan. Agreement on a weekly consignment of fish to Kabul as part of growing trade between the two countries was reached between the Government and a delegation of Afghan businessmen.
It will be sent from Karachi, which began as a fishing village on the Arabian sea barely two centuries ago, and still maintains an expanding fishing industry in the midst of its cosmopolitan commerce.
In return for fish, the Afghans may soon start sending Pakistan Karakuli fur, which became famous on the head of Pakistan’s founder, Mohammed Ali Jinnah. , “Jinnah hats” are now almost part of the national costume. President Mohammad Khan wears one every day.
