REFUSAL BY KOREA
No More Men For Vietnam (N.Z.P. A.-Reuter —Copyright) SAIGON, June 5. The South Korean Prime Minister (Mr 11-Kwon Chung) said today he had refused a South Vietnamese request for South Korean Air Force units to aid in the Vietnam war. Mr Chung said his reply to a letter from Air Marshal Ky expressed regret that South Korea could not send any units at present. South Korea has one Army division, one Marine brigade, one engineer battalion and a mobile surgical unit in South Vietnam—a total of about 25,000 men. The number will grow by 5000 when another Army division and support units arrive there in August-
