Kember Unfit To Play

(S.Z. Press Association ‘ WELLINGTON. The young Wellington Inside back, G. F. Kember, has withdrawn from the North Island universities’ team to play the South at Dunedin today. He made the decision after playing for Wellington against Manawatu on Monday and did not fly south with the rest of the Wellington representatives yesterday.

Kember injured his shoulder more than four weeks ago in the University-Taita match, and has played through a trial series and a North Island-South Island match with a heavy foam rubber shoulder pad.
