E.L.D.O. TALKS

The French Scientific Research Minister, Mr Alain Peyrefitte, is due to hold talks in Bonn today in an attempt to salvage thp European Launcher Development Organisation,. which Britain plans to leave. He will hold talks with his West German counterpart, Dr. Gerhard Stoltenberg, before E.L.D.O.’s seven-nation ministerial council meets on Thursday to decide on the organisation’s futureThe British Government told its E.L.D.O. partners during the week-end that owing to spiralling costs it could not give full support to the E.L.D.O. project. But a final decision depends on the outcome of Thursday’s meeting of the E.L.D.O..partners.
