COMMERCIAL B.H.P. Features In Aust. Markets

Industrials were steady with moves about in balance. Most leaders advanced narrowly but B.H.P. highlighted with a rise of 10 cents to a new 1966 peak of 590 in trading on the Melbourne Stock Exchange yesterday. Western Mining continued to improve and gained a further 6 cents to 498. Oils were steady.

The Sydney stock market yesterday was dominated by B.H.P. in the investment section. Western Mining in the mining section and Woodside (Lakes Entrance) in the oil section.

B.H.P. gained 16 cents to 588. Western Mining rose 18 cents to 498 and Woodside (Lakes Entrance) 10 cents paid gained six cents to close at 49 cents.

Directors of Aberfoyle Holdings announced that a company is being formed to acquire from Aberfoyle Tin Development Partnership its mining rights in the Mount Cleveland, Tasmania, tin and copper deposit. Aberfoyle Tin N.L. will subscribe for the whole of its 25 per cent entitlement to shares In this company.

Paringa Mining and Exploration Company announced that it will make available to its shareholders the whole of its 25 per cent entitlement to shares in the company being formed to acquire from Aberfoyle Tin Development Partnership its mining rights in the Mount Cleveland tin and copper deposit.
