Pauline Gardiner narrowly retained her New Zealand senior modern gymnastics title on Saturday when she beat Theodora Hill, another Aucklander, by less than half a point at Nelson. Both were New Zealand gymnastic representatives at the Tokyo Olympics. Third was Pat Wheeler, also of Auckland. Wynne Ellingham, Hawera, won the junior title. Results:— Senior. Pauline Gardiner.
