Fast 100 Yards

(N.Z.P A -Reuter—Copyright) ALBUQUERQUE (New" Mexico)

R. Matison, a student at the University of New Mexico, was stopped by watches at 9.lsec and 9sec for the 100 yards at Albuquerque on Saturday. But he will not be able to claim or partly claim the world record because there was no third stop watch. The times were clocked at the New Mexico A.A.U. meeting. The record is 9.lsec held by Bob Hayes. The wind reading during Matison’s dash was 1.3 metres a second, sufficiently below the allowed two metres.
