Not All Cheers

(Special Correspondent N.ZP.A)

LONDON.

The 8.8. C. is standing by for a massive protest over television coverage of the World Cup soccer matches, according to the ‘"Dailv Mirror.’’

And heading the onslaught will be Britain's housewives. The 8.8. C. will screen more than 50 hours of football during the 21 days of the competition, which starts on July 11.

This is an average of more than two hours a night, mostly during peak viewing times. Many of the 8.8.C.'s most popular shows will be dropped.

A 8.8. C. controller, Mr H. Wheldon, says: “An awful lot of our programmes will suffer, though I'm not sure which ones they will be yet.

"Complaints? We’ll just have to accept them.”
