Man Critically Injured

• A man who was run over; .by a car early yesterday , I morning while h e was lying injured in Ferry road is in a critical condition in the Christchurch Hospital. He is Reginald McKenzie, aged 53, of 52 Bordesley street. At the time of the accident Mr McKenzie was calling to a passing taxi for assistance. The taxi-driver stopped, but Mr McKenzie was run over before the taxi-driver could reach him. The accident occurred at 12.50 a.m. a short distance west of Smith street. Anyone who saw the accident or events leading to Mr McKenzie’s being found on the road is asked to get in touch with i the police motor accident inquiry branch.
