READY FOR WINTON
Corvale’s Work Pleases
"The Press" Special Service DUNEDIN.
Corvale, which will make a fresh start in the Tokonui Hurdles at the Winton meeting at Invercargill on Saturday, gave a pleasing display of jumping when schooled by his race rider, D. A. Adams, at Wingatui yesterday. The Khorassan gelding, which had his last race as a steeplechaser at Oamaru 11 months ago, is in splendid order for a new campaign. Kumai (B. J. Anderton) and Captain Morgan (M. Parr) made light work of a school over several brush jumps. Melhar (W. C. Gye). Awakiki (G. O. Finn) and Mataki (M. Parr) gave a clean fast display over four flights of hurdles.
