PUBLIC NOTICES CHRISTCHURCH DRAINAGB BOARD SEWERAGE LOAN NO. 1, 1966 £350.000 NOTICE IS HEREBY’ GIVEN that at a Special Meeting of the Christchurch Drainage Board called for that purpose and held at the office of the North Canterbury Catchment Board in the City of Christchurch on the twenty-second day of February, 1966, the said Board DID RESOLVE: THAT in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by the Christchurch District Drainage Act, 1951, the Local Authorities Loans Act, 1956. and all amendments thereto and all other acts, if any. it in that behalf enabling, and by virtue of the sanction of the Local Authorities Loans Board granted at a meeting of that Board held on the Sth day of February, 1966, the Christchurch Drainage Board at a special meeting called for that purpose and held at the office of the North Canterbury Catchment Board in the City of Christchurch on the 22nd day of February. 1966, DOTH RESOLVE by way of Special Order: 1. THAT the Christchurch Drainage Board proceed to raise a loan of three hundred and fifty thousand pounds (£350,0(10) for the purpose of constructing the Sumner Interceptor Sewer and ancillary works. 2. THAT such loan be known as Sewerage Loan No. 1. 1966. and hereinafter be called the said Loan. 3. THAT the term for which the said loan or any part thereof may be borrowed shall be thirty-five years. 4. THAT the rate of interest that may be paid in respect of the said loan or’any part thereof shall be such as shall not produce to the lender or lenders a rate or rates exceeding five and onequarter per cent per annum. 5. THAT the Christchurch Drainage Board shall, before raising the said loan or any part thereof, make provision for the repayment thereof by establishing a sinking fund and shall make annual payments to such sinking fund at a rate of not less than one pound five shilling and ten pence per cent per annum of the amount of the loan for the time being borrowed and not repaid. 6. THAT the payment of interest and repayment of principal in respect of the said loan shall be made in New Zealand, and no amount payable as either interest or sinking fund in respect of the said loan shall be payable out of loan money. 7. THAT the rate payable for brokerage in respect of the raising of the said loan or any part thereof shall not exceed one half per cent of any amount raised. 8. THAT no money shall be borrowed under the aforementioned sanction after the expiration of three years from the date thereof. 9. THAT the said loan be subject to such further conditions as are stipulated in the letter dated February 11, 1966, attached to the aforementioned sanction. 10. THAT the security for the said loan to provide for the annual charges thereon be a special rate of £.0001095 in the pound to be struck on the rateable capital value of an area described in Schedule C and in Schedule B (as altered from time to time in terms of Section 5 (f) of the Christchurch District Drainage Amendment Act. 1922, and Section 60 (6) of the Christchurch District Drainage Act, 1951) to a resolution of the Board dated the seventeenth day of April, 1923, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 37, of the twenty-sixth day of April, 1923. AND NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that the foregoing Resolution will be submitted to a meeting of the Board to be held at the office of the North Canterbury Catchment Board, Latimer square, Christchurch, on Tuesday, the twenty-second day of March, 1966, at 8 p.m., for confirmation.
