A,L.P. Opposes Dispatch (N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) CANBERRA, March 10. The Federal Opposition today decided to oppose the dispatch of national servicemen to Vietnam. The Leader of the Opposition (Mr Arthur Calwell) next Tuesday will lead the Opposition attack against the statement made by the Prime Minister (Mr Holt) last Tuesday, announcing that Australian forces in Vietnam would be trebled.

The Opposition executive today decided on an amendment to the statement made by Mr Holt. The amendment reads: “The House records its most emphatic opposition to the dispatch of conscripted youths for service in Vietnam and to the increased military commitment in that country.”
