Boys’ Brigade Swimming

The Canterbury battalion of the Boys’ Brigade will hold its annual swimming carnival at the Wharenui pool on Tuesday night.

Some good times are expected as the boys competing will be representative of most of the 26 companies from Christchurch and North Canterbury. About 150 boys are expected to take part.

To provide competition in all age groups, there will be a junior section, 14 years and under, and a senior section for 15 to 17-year-olds. A special freestyle section has been incorporated for the 12 and 13-year-olds to cater for the large number of new recruits.

Competitors will have two chances of gaining honours as the organisers have included a race for those unplaced in events during the evening.
