EGYPTIAN SURGEON

Appointment At Dunedin (N.Z. Press Association) DUNEDIN, March 11. An Egyptian, Mr Samir Nessim Bishara, aged 37, a neurosurgeon, has been appointed to the neurosurgery unit at Dunedin Hospital by the Otago Hospital Board. Mr Bishara is at present neurosurgery registrar at London Hospital. Aft dr graduating from Cairo University in 1950, Mr Bishara gained his diploma in surgery in 1956, and M.Ch in general surgery in 1958. He had three years’ experience teaching general surgery at Cairo University, and more than two years teaching neurosurgery.

Starting his neurosurgery training in England in September, 1959, Mr Bishara became a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in 1962.
