National Parly Policy
Sir,—Two statements made by the Prime Minister in this morning’s issue are enough to make voters at the next election replace him with Mr Norman Kirk. The first is that because of the delicate intricacies involved over the extension of New fishing limit, he could not explain to the public why the Government took no action against Japanese fishing encroachments. To make matters worse, he states that he has told the Labour delegation which waited on him. So why not tell all the voters who made him Prime Minister? The second is that the Government is negotiating with the United States Import-Export Bank for a loan to buy American military equipment of an undisclosed amount. When will this Government learn that you cannot borrow your way out of debt and that until the cost of living is brought down by price control things will gradually get worse?—Yours, OLD-TIMER. March 9, 1966.
