At the Sandown Park international race Jack Brabham started in a Brabham powered by orie of the new V 8 Repco-Brab-ham engines. He held the lead on the first lap, but retired on the fifth lap with lubrication troubles. He was second when he retired. as s>s $ Ferrari has entered three new 330 P 3 cars for the Sebring 12-hour race. One of the new Ford GTP’s has been entered, and one of the three sevenlitre Ford GT’s will be driven by Bruce McLaren and Chris Amon. Eight of the 4.7-litre Ford GT’s have been entered. Ss # <s A works Lotus Cortina crewed by V. Elford and J. Davenport won the Italian rally of the Flowers recently, but was disqualified after the race for having 28 teeth on second gear instead of the 27 teeth listed in error on the homologation form. A protest has been lodged. $ # ® The provisional list of entries for Le Mans has been announced, and it includes 13 Fords and 14 Ferraris. Seven of the Fords will have 7-litre engines, and there are five Ferrari Dinos. One Chaparrel is entered, and there are six Porsche, four AlfaRomeo, and three MatraB.R.M. entries. Ford drivers include the New Zealanders Bruce McLaren and Chris Amon, and Dan Gurney, A. J. Jackie Stewart won the Tasman Championship by 36 points, compared with Graham Hill’s 28 points, and Clark’s 19 points.
