WITHDRAWAL OF CHARGE
(N.Z. Press Association)
AUCKLAND, March 10.
The police today withdrew a charge of manslaughter against a 56-year-old social security beneficiary, Thomas Patrick Lynch. Sergeant E. R. Hutchinson told Mr F. McCarthy, S.M., that it had been established only recently that Thomas Scannell’s death was not caused by Lynch’s actions. Lynch still faces a charge of common assault on Scannell.
