~ Europa Oil ■- Conviction h s (N.Z. Press Association) [: NEW PLYMOUTH, March 9. An appeal by Europa Oil l (N.Z.), Ltd., in the Supreme Court at New Plymouth j' against its conviction last year on a charge of unlawfully offering a reward to the prob prietors of a Manaia garage ~ for sole reselling rights has d been dismissed by Mr Justice McGregor. The charge was brought under a section of the Motor J 1 Spirits Distribution Act, 1953, t which prohibits the offering of an inducement or reward to a reseller without the consent of the Motor Spirits e Licensing Authority. The case was heard in the Magistrate’s Court at Hawera on October 3, 1965, and was the first of its kind under the Act. ® Mr A. W. Yortt, S.M., tali posed the maximum fine of s, £2OO. ,] The charge was brought by 1. the Industries and Commerce 1. Department.
