~ Two colts by Garrison Hanover realised top price of 1650 guineas at the twenty-second New Zealand national sales of trotting and pacing yearlings at the show grounds, Addington, yesterday. Garrison Hanover was also the sire of the top-priced filly.

The sales were a record, the choice youngsters meeting with keen inquiry from a large bench of buyers from Australia, as well as from all parts of New Zealand.

Although passings were frequent for short periods during the sale, 85 lots were sold for 46,195 guineas, a record average of 543} guineas.
