Addington Guild
Mrs L. Coote presided at the annual meeting of the Addington Townswomen’s Guild and welcomed a member of the Dominion executive, Mrs A. Thomson. It was decided to. send a donation to the C.0.R.5.0. fund for the relief of famine in India and an outing to the Sign of the Takahe was arranged. Flowers were presented to the retiring vice-presidents, Mesdames E. Marsh and L. Woodcock. A gift voucher was presented to Miss P. Haylock, winner of the annual arts and crafts competition. Officers were elected as follows:—President, Mrs L. Coote; secretary, Mrs R. Gordon; treasurer, Mrs S. Marks; committee, Mesdames A. Cowlin, A. Giblett, I. Hall, A. Humphrey, K. Hyland, R. Johnston, E. Jones, J. Searle, G. Taylor, G. Wilson and Miss P. Haylock.
