Stewart Has Retired
(N.Z. Press Association) TIMARU. The former All Black lock, A. J. Stewart, of Timaru, yesterday announced his retirement from Rugby. Stewart, aged 25, played in eight test matches —five on the 1963 tour of Britain and France, two against England in its short tour of New Zealand in 1963 and one against the visiting Australians in 1964. Stewart did not play last season and was undecided whether he would play this year. He is a former Canterbury and South Canterbury representative.
Delaying Return.— The New Zealand speed-car champion, Barry Butterworth, has postponed his trip home to compete in the annual 50 lap race at Sydney on Saturday night.
