Two Houses Sold

A bungalow of five rooms, kitchenette, bathroom, and laundry at 264 Bealey avenue, Christchurch, was sold for £2960 at public auction yesterday. The auctioneer was Mr E. G. Keenan, who was acting in conjunction with John Hutchinson, Ltd. There is also a garage on the section of 19.7 perches, zoned residential B. The initial bid was £2OOO. Oxford, was passed in at £16.080. The sale was held by Dalgety and New Zealand Loan, Ltd., on account of Mr G. K. Inch The auctioneer was Mr F. Carpenter. Improvements on the property, which is subdivided into 12 paddocks, include a new steel haybarn and sheep yards. Mr Carpenter started the bidding at £2O an acre and then took 10 bids of £l.
