FARMING POLICY
Labour To Speak Soon <N.Z. Press Association) WHANGAREI, Mar. 8. The Labour Party intends to announce significant parts of its agricultural policy by the end of April, Mr W. E. Rowling, a member of the party’s policy committee, said in Whangarei today. He has been heading the Labour team compiling farm policy. “Basically it will concentrate on effective measures to increase production of exportable farm products. “It will also concentrate on measures to enable such products to be processed in a form which will be acceptable to new markets.” Mr Rowling said finance ranked high in Labour’s farm development programme.
