STRAIT FERRY
Date For Aranui (N.I. Press Association» DUNEDIN .March 7. The second Cook Strait road-rail ferry Aranui will reach Wellington by the end of April, the general manager of railways, Mr ' A. T. Gandell said today. Mr Gandell said the new ship and the Aramoana would begin sailing to a time-table providing a regular 17 trips a week between Wellington and Picton, as soon as the Aramoana had undergone her annual survey. He said that delay in completion and delivery of the Aranui had caused freight space restrictions. But there was “very pleasing evidence of understanding on the part of customers.”
