Port Back To Normal CV Z. Pres* A*»ociation) NAPIER, Mar. 7. Napier waterfront workers began loading the freighter Hinakura this morning after having refused to work on Fndav because of the proximity of the tanker Kara, which was discharging petrol. The Kara completed the discharge of 17,000 tons of petrol and fuel oil and sailed for Marsden Point yesterday. The chairman of the Port Conciliation Committee (Mr L F Malcouronne) said today all men had returned to work and the port was functioning normally. The secretary of the Waterfront Workers’ Union (Mr S. Gannaway) said the union would not expect to be asked to work opposite a tanker discharging petrol in future. ■ I think we have made the position quite clear,” he said.
