Obituary MR A. CHISHOLM

“The Press” Special Service INVERCARGILL.

One of Southland’s bestknown thoroughbred breeders, Mr A. Chisholm, jun., of Otautau, died late on Monday night. He had been involved in a motor accident late last week. Mr Chisholm, who was in his fifty-second year, had been associated with the Glentruin Stud with his father, Mr A. Chisholm, of Invercargill, throughout his lifetime. A prominent athlete in his youth, he owned and bred many horses, one of the most successful of which was Prawns, which dead-heated in the Wellington Cup and won the Invercargill Cup. Last year Mr Chisholm revived the Glentruin St”d with the importation r r *’■ ' - ”-h , horse. Whistline M ? is survived by his wile and seven children.
