200 Sheep Washed Up
(N.Z. Press Association) WAIHI, March 8. As an aftermath of last week’s floods, more than 200 dead sheep washed ashore between Athenree and Bowentown have been scooped up by bulldozer and buried by employees of the Tauranga Harbour Board. Mr H. Sorenson, workshop foreman to the board, who organised the disposal of the sheep, said that the carcasses were scattered along the waterfront.
