DUBOIS CLUB EXPLOSION

(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter —Copyright) SAN FRANCISCO, March 6. An explosion today shattered the San Francisco headquarters of the W.E.B. Dubois club, an organisation which has been active in demonstrations against United States policy in Vietnam. The blast came two days after the Justice Department demanded that the club be required to register as a Communist-front organisation. The cause of the blast, which also damaged windows of nearby buildings in the heart of San Francisco, was unknown. No-one was injured. The Dubois club describes itself as Marxist-oriented and claim a 2500 membership throughout the United States.
