Lord Astor Dead

Lord Astor, a member of the millionaire BritishAmerican Waldorf Astor family and a central figure in the 1963 Profumo scandal, died in the Bahamas yesterday from a heart attack, the Associated Press reported. Lord Astor, the third viscount, was 59. He had flown to Nassau, capital of the Bahamas, on Saturday for a month’s vacation.
Lord Astor and his wife, the former London model, Bronwen Pugh, were visiting Sir Harold Christie and Lady Christie when Astor complained of pains in his chest. He died later at Princess Margaret Hospital.
