INCREASED STAKES
A.J.C.”s Main Spring Races i (N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright > SYDNEY. The Australian Jockey Club has increased prize-money by i 10,000 dollars for its three main spring races, the A.J.C. Derby, Epsom and Metropolitan. Prize money for the three races has been increased from 20.000 dollars to 30,000 dollars. The Derby (one mile and a half) and Epsom (one mile) will be run on Saturday, October 1, and the Metropolitan (13 furlongs) on Monday, October 3. The A.J.C. also has increased by 10,000 dollars the added prize money for the 1968 A.J.C. Sires’ Produce Stakes.
