"The Press" Special Service AUCKLAND. The highly promising Pukekohe two-year-old. Three Jacks, is likely to be taken to Addington for the New Zealand Welcome Stakes on April 9. His trainer, J. K. Hughes, said last week it would depend on how the colt progressed. At present the trip was a definite possibility. Three Jacks, who is by Hi Lo's Forbes from Miranda Scott, showed outstanding ability at trial meetings before contesting the £125 Second Auckland Champagne Stakes at the Kumeu meeting at Alexandra Park on February 26. As expected, the race proved no more than a job for him. After being well clear all the way. he coasted home by six lengths. He is one of the first crop of Hi Lo's Forbes, an American importation. Hi Lo s Forbes won many races and at one stage held the world mile record for a half-mile track. Three Jacks seems sure to give him a grand start at the stud in New Zealand.
