W. MOFFLIN HALF-YEAR

Turn-over Up 17 p.c. (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, March 7. Directors of Wilcox, Mofflin Ltd., Sydney-based wool, hide and skin exporters, fellmongers and general merchants, announce the six months trading to December 31 last has been satisfactory, according to the New Zealand Stock Exchange. Volume of sales of all departments has been measurably improved, resulting in an increase in turn-over of 17 per cent. Consolidated net profit is £72,262 compared with a consolidated net loss of £84,538 for the six months ended December, 1964. It is considered that the real effects of the drought may yet have to be faced by our industry, directors say. This could have some influence during the current six months on the higher turnover achieved during the first half year. Since December 31 trading has continued to be satisfactory, they add.
