i Women Not Named i The Canterbury tennis j selectors are having diflii culty choosing the ; women's sections of re- ! presentative teams for ' next week-end. The names ! of nine men were an ! nounced last evening but i the women will not be i named until later because some leading players are not available. Canterbury will play Otago in the final of the South Island section of the Wilding Shield at Dunedin on Saturday and Sunday. The team for the contest is as follows: —J. Mitchell. R. McCutcheon, J. Martin and W. Edgecumbe. Mitchell and Martin were both members of the team which beat Nelson in the first Wilding Shield fixture a fortnight ago. The Canterbury women's team was eliminated from the Nunneley Casket by Nelson but a women's section will still travel to Dunedin to play the annual representative fixture which, for the men will be combined with the Wilding Shield match. It is not known yet whether mixed doubles will be played. On Sunday Canterbury will also have its annual representative match with South Canterbury at Timaru. The men have been named for this this as follows:—P. Angland, W. G. Lewthwaite, I. D. Stan ton, J. Griffiths, L. Legge, and one to be added.
