‘CEYLON PLOT’

The state of emergency continued in Ceylon yesterday while police investigated reports of an attempted plot to overthrow the Government, L’nited Press International reported. Air Force and Navy leave was cancelled Reports of the plot came when the Ceylon Premier, Mr Dudley Senanayake, was in Washington for talks on aid. So far eight Army officers have been gaoled in connexion with the alleged plot. Three non-commissioned offiicers were taken in for questioning by police yesterday.
